Alerta Standing Turner

The Alerta Standing Turner is a manual transfer device designed to assist carers with safe, dignified transfers between seat, bed, toilet, commode, and wheelchair via a stand-and-turn movement. With a 160 kg safe working load, Alerta’s GlideTurn Easy swivel base, height-adjustable handle and knee pads, and tool-free assembly, it promotes user engagement and enhances mobility in care home, hospital, and home care settings.

GlideTurn Easy Swivel Base — The Alerta Standing Turner’s 360° GlideTurn Easy swivel base allows the carer to rotate the user smoothly and safely once standing, without the need to reposition the device or the user’s feet. The handle geometry is specifically designed to encourage the correct nose-over-toe standing position, supporting a more natural and biomechanically safe transfer movement for the user.

Adjustable for a Wide Range of Users & Carers — Both the handle and knee pads are height adjustable, allowing the Standing Turner to be configured for different user heights and lower leg dimensions. This adaptability makes it suitable for use across a varied client base, and the tool-free adjustment means settings can be changed quickly between users without interrupting the care workflow.

Important Usage Note — The Alerta Standing Turner requires the user to have sufficient arm, leg, and body strength to stand and remain in the standing position. It is not suitable for fully passive transfers. For users who lack these attributes, a powered stand aid hoist or MoveAssist device is recommended. When a user is on board, do not tilt or lever the Standing Turner — the whole footplate must remain in contact with the floor at all times.
