Collection: Static & Foam Mattresses

Our static and foam mattress range provides reliable, low-maintenance pressure relief for care home residents across the full risk spectrum. From high-density standard foam for low to medium-risk residents through to visco-elastic high-risk and bariatric-rated options, all mattresses are designed for use with standard and profiling bed frames and comply with UK fire safety regulations.

Covers are removable, wipe-clean, and waterproof — supporting infection control best practice in multi-resident care environments. Cut-to-fit and specialist sizes available on request.

Standard Foam Mattresses

Medium and high-risk static foam mattresses for profiling beds. Fire-retardant, waterproof covers. All standard and bariatric sizes in stock.

High-risk foam mattresses use visco-elastic and reactive foam technologies to provide significantly better pressure redistribution than standard foam — no pump required. Suitable for high-risk residents who can be repositioned regularly.

Foam mattress vs dynamic alternating

  • High-risk foam — suitable where manual repositioning is possible; no power required; quieter than dynamic systems
  • Dynamic alternating — required for very-high-risk or where repositioning is not possible

Always follow your tissue viability nurse's recommendation. Call 03452 999 999 for guidance.

Static Pressure Cushions

Pressure relief cushions for wheelchairs, specialist seating and profiling beds — foam, gel and air options. Suitable for low through to very-high-risk residents.

Residents spending significant time seated are at risk of pressure damage at the ischial tuberosities, coccyx and sacrum. The right cushion significantly reduces this risk as part of a comprehensive pressure care plan.

Cushion types

  • Foam cushions — low to medium risk; passive contouring support
  • Gel cushions — medium risk; better pressure distribution than foam
  • Air cell cushions — high risk; dynamic pressure redistribution
  • Hybrid foam-gel — good all-round option

Select cushions following a formal pressure risk assessment. Call 03452 999 999 for guidance.
